This part of the country can have very deep sand! I spent a weekend with a Herero family northeast of here and it was very difficult to get through in places. The family was so hospitable - in fact, they slept outside and gave me their bed in the master bedroom. They prepared elaborate meals and told many stories about their way of life. They took me on a tour to see the Holy Fire and the different bushes they use for medicine. | |||
