Story of a commission:
A lady called me one day to ask whether she could commission me to paint her driveway when the coreopsis flowers were in bloom. As her husband had recently passed away, she and her family decided they wanted to include his tractor. I thought that seeing the empty tractor after such a long and happy marriage might make her sad, so I secretly approached the family and asked whether I could surprise her by painting her husband on the tractor. They were delighted and snuck a few photos out of her house for me to use as references. When the painting was unveiled she gasped and exclaimed, “it’s him!”
REQUESTING A COMMISSION: Would you like to have a special painting created for yourself or as a gift for someone important to you? If so, please contact me several months in advance to discuss what you have in mind. I can paint on location or paint from your personal photographs. Once I know your needs, I will be able to give you a price (with a non-refundable deposit), and also discuss completion and delivery details with you. You will receive progress updates throughout the painting process.
Other types of commissions I have undertaken have included painting interior and exterior murals and abstract designs, accent designs on interior walls to match an array of fabrics, wild decoration on an African taxi, book and greeting card illustrations, postage stamp and coin designs.
