Would you like to paint the first stirrings of spring in the mountains? I will be teaching a spring painting workshop in N. Carolina from April 15 – 21 at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, N.C. It is a lovely time of year! The birds are singing and the flowers should be dancing in happiness! We will work inside and outside, weather depending, translating your inspiration onto canvas. From the school catalog:
“Painting the World Around Us“
“Let’s paint favorite subjects from the world around us as spring bursts into life in the mountains! Using oils or acrylics, we’ll work outdoors “en plein air” and in the studio. Explore the creative use of composition, colors and values to enhance your personal style of painting – with plenty of time for discussion and feedback. Some experience is helpful, and a plein air easel is recommended.”
If this is something you would enjoy, come join me for a refreshing week of art and beauty in the mountains. You’ll need to sign up soon, however, as space is limited. And if you know someone else who might be interested, please forward this message to him or her. Follow this link for more information and to enroll.I look forward to seeing you there!
