Experience the joy of painting outdoors in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina during the colorful season of autumn! We will explore the versatility of acrylics and oils while indulging our imaginations in the key components of any successful painting: subject choice, composition, values, and color. Experimenting with limited palettes, we will practice creating the feeling of space and mood in a painting.
With small class sizes and a week to enjoy the process, there is plenty of time for individual attention and group discussion, as well as for enjoying nature, relaxation and creativity while making new friends! Some drawing or painting experience is helpful, a bit of outdoor mobility is needed, and a plein air easel is recommended.
And perhaps we’ll even try some night painting!
